Working in clay gives me infinite possibilities for creative expression. While I have some functional pieces such as vases and platters, I enjoy making inspirational pieces such as my Serenity Rattles and Forest Spirits. I primarily hand build, so each piece is unique in both form and glazing. For centuries, we humans have been very comfortable with handling functional pottery. So I invite collectors to handle their art pieces too, not just leaving them on display shelves for viewing only. Many of my works are designed to be interactive by gently shaking them to hear ceramic beads enclosed in the forms.
